The 40 minute race saw Rasmussen get away in a brillant start givin him about ten car lenght advantage down the long straight. However Nurminen started a fierce chase after he passed Lars Erik Nielsen. Halfway in the race Nurminen overtook Rasmussen at the end of the long straight and was able to win the race in superior manor. Second and third were Rene Rasmussen and L. E. Nielsen.

In the Sunday sprint race over 10 laps the start was dramatic with Rasmussen, Christensen and Gregersen spinning of the track. I called for a Pace Car situation which made the car gather again behind poleman Overgaard. When the Pace Car went out Filip Larsson took the lead with team mate Nelson behind him. From behind Nurminen and Rasmussen started their chase on the  frontrunners but Nurminen lost surprisingly his usual fast pace and it was up to Rasmussen to try to challenge the Autoropa leaders. Nelson had to give up for Rasmussen but Larsson kept his lead position after several laps under high stress from a hard attacking Rasmussen to the endless applause from the crowd. Filip Larsson took his first podium ever and the 2004 Champ Rasmussen came second before Martin Nelson. A very popular victory in Mantorp.
